Here is everything you need to know about Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 before you buy

Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 is the newest addition to there Samsung collection of smartphones. Here is what you should know about this new high end android based mobile phone.

Previously we talked about Microsoft Surface Duo, and now we are back with Samsung Galaxy Fold 2.

Samsung Galaxy Fold 2  Part 1

#glass    #screen    #UTG

Like the Galaxy Z Flip, the screen of the Galaxy Fold 2 will also use ultra – thin glass ( UTG ).

The original Galaxy Fold display had a much smaller 4.6-inch, 1680 x 720 ( 399PPI ) display making the new display a large upgrade over last year’s version.

We found the front 4.6-inch display of the original Fold was too small to be really useful as the phone half of the phone / tablet design.

Like the Galaxy Z Flip clamshell device, the Fold 2 said to come with Ultra Thin Glass on the flexible screen.

It’s unclear whether the fingerprint scanner will be on the outside of the phone – or buried inside the internal, flexible display.

The name is slightly misleading, as the UTG material is actually a glass core coated in plastic, but it should mean it’s still a bit tougher than the Galaxy Fold’s display.

#Consultants    #Supply    #Chain    #Ross

Today, the CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants, Ross Young shared key information on the specs of the Galaxy Fold 2.

Ross Young, founder / CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants, detailed on Twitter a complete rundown of the Galaxy Fold 2’s display specifications, starting with the internal main display.

That’s according to Display Supply Chain Consultant founder Ross Young who tweeted that the new front display will be 6.23 inches with a 2267 x 819 resolution.

Ross Young, CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants, has tweeted that the new foldable phone will pack a 6.23-inch 2,267 x 819 OLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate.

Details shared by analysts from Display Supply Chain Consultants ( DSCC ) claim the device will sport a 7.59-inch Dynamic AMOLED display with a 2213 x 1689 resolution.

#Fold    #launch

The Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 is expected to hit the market in Q3 2020 and may be launched alongside the Samsung Galaxy Note20 in August 2020.

The folding display on the new Galaxy Fold smartphone will apparently comes with a UTG ( Ultra Thin Glass ) display, this is the same display that Samsung used in their Galaxy Z Flip smartphone.

The Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 should arrive in the third quarter of 2020, possible alongside the Galaxy Note 20, which will likely launch in August.

Rumours about the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 – now teased as the ‘Galaxy W20’ – have been doing the rounds since March 2019.

Samsung’s Galaxy Fold flagship smartphone officially launched during the Fall of 2019 after a lengthy delay due to problems with its display and hinge mechanism.

#camera    #punch    #hole    #sensor    #notch

Samsung is also using a hole – punch cutout for the camera instead of the large notch on the original Fold.

Samsung is reportedly employing a hole – punch cutout for the camera as opposed to the notch used on the first generation.

This means the Fold 2 should have a 12MP main sensor, 64MP secondary / telephoto sensor, and 12MP ultra – wide sensor along with a TOF sensor.

The next Fold may also adopt the same camera array as the S20 Plus, which includes a 64MP telephoto camera and may get a punch – hole instead of a notch.

We can see the device with a punch – hole display on the inside for the selfie camera, and an external screen with a notch that will house another selfie camera.

#inch    #refresh    #rate

The handset will apparently feature a 7.59 inch diagonal display with a resolution of 2213 x 1689 pixels and the display will feature a 120Hz refresh rate.

Starting from the front screen, the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 will have a 6.23-inch front display with a resolution of 2267 x 819 and running at 60Hz refresh rate.

Speaking of the main screen, Young claims the new foldable will have a 7.59-inch OLED display ( 2,213 x 1,689 ) with a 120Hz refresh rate.

The first generation Galaxy Fold has a 4.6-inch front display ( 1,960 x 840 pixels ), a 7.3-inch main display ( 2,152 x 1,536 pixels ), and a total of 6 cameras.

Other changes expected with the Galaxy Fold 2 include a folding display that increases in size from 7.3 inches to 7.7 inches.

#Charging    #Fold    #mAh    #capacity

After using a 4,380 mAh battery on the first Fold, we hope that Samsung finds room to squeeze in a little more capacity on the Fold 2.

The Galaxy Fold charged at a mediocre 15W, but the Fold 2 really ought to make use of Samsung’s new 25W and 45W charging protocols.

Our source claimed Samsung was aiming for a battery between 4,500 mAh and 5,000 mAh in capacity, and since then, they have likely decided on a capacity for product.

The Fold could wirelessly charge too, and use Samsung’s PowerShare reverse wireless charging to give that power back to a compatible accessory.

We were also told Samsung wanted to include 45W Super Fast Charging but that they are likely going to limit the Galaxy Fold 2 to 25W Super Fast Charging.

#GB    #model    #Snapdragon    #core    #price

The phone will be available in two models with a more affordable 256 GB one and a slightly expensive 512 GB model.

Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset and an octa – core ( 2.96GHz, single – core, 2.42GHz tri – core, 1.8GHz quad – core, Kryo 485 ) processor.

The phone is powered by Octa core ( 2.84 GHz, Single core, Kryo 585 + 2.42 GHz, Tri core, Kryo 585 + 1.8 GHz, Quad core, Kryo 585 ) processor.

Reports propose the telephone could be accessible in two models with a progressively reasonable 256 GB one and a marginally costly 512 GB model.

The Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 will be offered in two models – a basic 256Gb one ( SM – F916 ), and a more expensive 512 GB model ( SM – F91x ).

#hinge    #case

There were some cases of broken displays of some Galaxy Z Flip phones, additionally, there were some misunderstandings related to the material, from which the display was made.

In the other case, debris worked its way inside the sizable gaps in the phone hinge, landed under the display, and damaged it from behind.

Samsung reduced the gaps in the phone body, reinforced the hinge area with chain – mail armor underneath the display, and cut down on ingress points with protective dust caps on the top and bottom of the display fold.

After issues were quickly raised with the phone’s fragile folding screen and hinge, it was recalled and relaunched later in the year.

This is welcome news, just ask any reporter who had to return their review model of the Galaxy Fold when debris and stray hinges caused the screen to malfunction.

#Escobar    #sell    #company    #Inc

To sell the Escobar Fold 1 at $ 350 and the Escobar Fold 2 at $ 400 when the Royole Felxpai starts at $ 1,490 and the Galaxy Fold is $ 1,980, Escobar Inc. saves money by shipping just the phone and charging cable in the box, nothing else.

This, he says, is how Escobar Inc is able to sell its handset for just $ 399, while Samsung sells its folding smartphone for around four times as much.

However, after explaining how the company initially took his money without ever sending him a phone, Brownlee has some other thoughts regarding how Escobar Inc is able to sell on these disguised Samsung Galaxy Folds for such a low price.

According to another YouTube channel, Mrwhosetheboss, Escobar Inc. CEO Olof Gustafsson said the company bought Galaxy Folds that failed Samsung’s quality control standards, were returned units, and were classed as overstock by retailers who overestimated how many would sell.

#Android    #iPhone    #transfer    #data

The easiest way to transfer data from iPhone to Android is to use the smart iPhone to android transfer tool, Dr fone Android Switch.

Thus, it’s impossible to directly install iPhone apps on your Android phone or tablet, let alone transfer app data from iPhone to Android.

That means, it’s not available to just insert iPhone sim card on Android phone, which usually works in transferring contacts from android to android.

Unfortunately, iPhone sim card is smaller than the one in Android phone and iPhone contacts are usually saved in phone memory card.

You can check the Clear Data before Copy box if you want to erase data on the destination phone before transferring the data to the target phone.

It enables you to easily transfer all data both in phone memory and cloud account, like iCloud, Exchange and others, text messages, video, photos and music from iPhone(iPhone 6S Plus / iPhone 6S included ) to Android phone or tablet.

#credit    #trade    #device    #upgrade

Next Up upgrade feature charge to be upgrade eligible with qualified trade in when 50 % of device cost of the financed device is paid off.

For upgrade of existing line, the max credit will be $ 300 ( eligible iPhone 11, Xs Max, LG, Google, and Samsung devices only – up to $ 600 in bill credits for Xs ).

Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 Features Part 2

#August    #launch    #report    #suggests    #Korea

That’s backed up by a report from Daily Korea that suggests that Samsung has already placed bulk orders for components from its suppliers, suggesting that it is on track for a launch in August.

According to the recent report from South Korea, the tech giant has now begun the mass production of Galaxy Fold 2 with an expected launch in August.

This indicates the company to have started the mass – production of Galaxy Fold 2 and the report also suggests it will hit markets in August.

There is of course the question of when, but a report from Korean publication Hankook Ilbo, they claim that the Galaxy Fold 2 will be launching in August later this year.

Our best guess for the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 release date is sometime in August, as two different sources claim Samsung is targeting that month – and is currently on track to launch then, despite the ongoing pandemic.

#launch    #September    #months    #year

Timing looks to be similar to last year’s second Fold launch ( after the first launch was aborted ) which will put latter half of the year around September.

At the same time, it was announced that the updated version will be launched in September this year in a limited number of countries.

This device was also expected to arrive in September, however, it has now been postponed to somewhere between September and November 2019 .

With that being said, we can make a few other assumptions about the device if it is indeed going to launch later this year.

He said that the company plans to unveil the device in Q2 this year, which means it will launch in April, May, or June.

#event    #Note    #Unpacked

As said, at the Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung might also introduce Samsung Galaxy Z Flip along with the Samsung Galaxy S20 series.

With this in mind, if the next Galaxy Note ( possibly called the Samsung Galaxy Note 11 or Galaxy Note 20 ) does launch in August / September, the Fold 2 likely won’t be far behind.

In a couple of weeks from now, Samsung will launch its Galaxy Z Flip and S20 series smartphones at its February 11 Galaxy Unpacked event.

The company is expected to launch the Galaxy Note 20 this year, so it is possible that the Galaxy Note 20 and the Galaxy Fold 2 will be sharing the same event.

Samsung has already announced that its first major event — Samsung Unpacked will be slated for February 11 and while a vast portion of the event will be introducing the Samsung Galaxy S20 series, they are also expected to unveil the Galaxy Fold 2.

#expected    #USD    #recession

Also, the price of Galaxy Fold 2 is expected to be around $ 100 less than its predecessor in the US.

ETNews reports that the second – generation model is expected to be cheaper with a price starting at around $ 1,500 USD — compared to the current $ 1,980 USD price point — despite the expense of UTG.

It ‘d be surprising to see a more advanced Galaxy Fold 2 come in at much less than the original Galaxy Fold’s $ 1,980 asking price, though with a global recession in the offing, all things are possible.

The original Fold came out with a sticker price of $ 1,980.For the Galaxy Fold 2, people are saying that the price could be as low as $ 1,780, but more likely the reduction will be only $ 100, placing the new model at $ 1,880.

#Developers    #rumor    #XDA

Prolific mobile leaker Max Weinbach, who also writes for XDA Developers, tweeted a rumor that Samsung could be making a Galaxy Fold E or Galaxy Fold Lite in addition to the more premium Galaxy Fold 2.

If rumor prevails, the Galaxy Fold 2 could top the Fold’s 4,380-mAh battery with a 4,500- or 5,000-mAh battery, according to a source cited by XDA Developers.

The duality of these rumors can be explained with another recent rumor that suggests Samsung is also planning to release a Galaxy Fold Lite, a specced down version of the Galaxy Fold 2.

That, combined with other rumors circulating about the Galaxy Fold 2’s storage capacity, 5 G variants and colors ( from XDA Developers, SamMobile, ET News and others ), paints a picture that concept artists can use to sketch out renders of how the Galaxy Fold 2 could look.

#year    #rumors

The Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 has been rumored for a while, but there have recently been some exciting rumors regarding its release later this year.

Rumors are circulating that Samsung could be releasing the Galaxy Fold 2 as soon as April 2020 with a host of new features.

Samsung is forecasted to ship 2.5 to 3 million foldables this year, compared to 500,000 units last year as per analysts.

These rumors followed an earlier report that Samsung was working on two new foldable phones, one of which ended up being the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip.

In the meantime, however, there have been several rumors about Samsung intending to release a foldable phone again despite the setbacks with the Fold.

The foldable phone has been in the works for years, and Samsung finally managed to launch a commercial version of it.

#Z    #Flip    #display

The Galaxy Fold and Galaxy Z Flip were announced alongside more typical — and still premium — devices, the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S20, respectively.

While early Galaxy Fold 2 leaks all turned out to be of the Galaxy Z Flip, a number of newer leaks have also now emerged.

Unlike last year’s Galaxy Fold, the upcoming foldable, expected to be called the Galaxy Z Flip, will have a clamshell design and mid – range specs.

They claimed that the Galaxy Fold 2 will be available in 2 of the original Galaxy Fold colors : Martian Green and Astro Blue.

The Galaxy Z Flip was a massive improvement and was PS500 cheaper than the fold, making it more accessible ( relatively speaking.

#notch    #camera    #Infinity    #punch    #hole

It is further expected to be an Infinity – O display panel which means a punch – hole will be there for housing the front camera.

Infinity V means there will be a teardrop notch of some sort, housing one of the numerous Galaxy Fold 2 cameras.

The enormous notch of the current Fold, however, has made way for a much more modest notch, which still contains two cameras.

When unfolded, the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 features a similar screen that’s found on the Galaxy Note 10 with a centrally – aligned punch – hole camera cutout.

According to my own sources, there will be a Galaxy Z Flip – like hole – punch cutout in the top right corner.

Based on Geskin’s renders, the phone looks to blend design elements from both the Galaxy S20 series ( like its rectangular primary camera module and hole – punch in – display front – facing cameras ), as well as its direct predecessor, the first Galaxy Fold.

#display    #open

The Galaxy Fold technically has two displays : A small 4.6-inch display on the front, and a wide 7.3-inch display when you open it up.

In this machine we see a full – screen display up front and a full – screen display inside – far more coverage than the first generation device.

Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 comes with a 7.3-inch folding display that provides the pleasure of an immersive vision over the vast panel.

When folded, the Galaxy Fold 2 will feature a smaller display on the top that displays just the time, battery and date.

The Fold 2, or whatever Samsung ends up calling it, breaks from the design Samsung used for the original Galaxy Fold that features two prominent displays — one on the outside that opens like a book to reveal a larger screen on the inside.

#charging    #wireless    #device    #supports

In a different leak we heard that the Galaxy Fold 2 will have 15W charging, but it’ll also support wireless charging and the top – end reverse wireless charging, which lets you turn the device into its own wireless charging pad.

The device supports fast charging, and features Wireless Power Share, which first premiered on the S10, is also on Note 10, and allows you to use your device to charge other Qi – enabled devices.

We were also told Samsung wanted to include 45W Super Fast Charging but that they are likely going to limit the Galaxy Fold 2 to 25W Super Fast Charging.

You can also expect Samsung to stick with reverse wireless charging, which Samsung calls PowerShare, and fast charging to align with the Galaxy S20 phones — likely at a rate of 25 watts.

#housing    #patent    #design

Earlier this month, a patent for a water – resistant foldable phone design that looks awfully similar to the Galaxy Fold appeared, Let’s Go Digital reported.

The patent ( PDF ) for, Electronic device including waterproof structure details exactly how and where the waterproofing material would go inside the phone housing.

According to a patent that was filed by Samsung in November 2019, but published in May 2020, the company is creating a folding smartphone with a waterproof structure that means that the parts inside the housing remain protected against dust and water.

According to Let’s Go Digital, to get around the difficulty of waterproofing a design that has various connection holes and hinges, Samsung has apparently used waterproof elements that are placed at specific locations within the housing.

#GB    #model

By lowering the price of the Fold 2 and offering a 256 GB model rather than just a 512 GB variant that costs almost PS2k, Samsung could lure in a lot more customers with that lower price point.

However, as SamMobile reports, the South Korean tech giant could be looking at introducing a 256 GB model, which could reflect ETNews ‘price claims.

This particular variant is reported to bear model number SM – F916 and another one with 512 GB storage will have SM – F91x model number.

This is because Samsung will be giving the phone a base option of 256 GB of storage instead of 512 GB, which could lower the price by about $ 100.

But now it seems that a cheaper, 256 GB model with a starting price that’s a bit more easy to swallow, will launch alongside an option with a larger storage capacity.

#flagship    #TV    #sale    #cost

The Samsung Galaxy Fold costs $ 1,980 / PS1,800 ( around AU$3,350 ), making it twice the price of a typical flagship.

The price is certainly more in line with what you ‘d pay for a brand new flagship, including Samsung’s Galaxy S20.

One great way to save money is by going for a refurbished TV, and you can take hundreds off regular retail prices with this one – day sale on factory reconditioned Samsung UHD TVs over at Woot right now.

#camera    #sensor    #lens    #telephoto

This main sensor should also be joined by a host of other cameras, including a wide – angle lens and a telephoto lens.

This means the Fold 2 should have a 12MP main sensor, 64MP secondary / telephoto sensor, and 12MP ultra – wide sensor along with a TOF sensor.

The primary lens is said to be paired with a 12-megapixel ultra – wide sensor and another 12-megapixel lens — which could be a telephoto lens.

In the camera department, the Galaxy Fold 2 could come with the same 108MP main camera as the upcoming Galaxy S20 Ultra.

The rear of the Galaxy Fold has a 16-megapixel ultra – wide lens, a 12-megapixel wide – angle lens and a 12-megapixel telephoto.

#rate    #refresh    #resolution

The larger screen is said to follow the Galaxy S20 with a 120Hz screen refresh rate, while the smaller screen will top out at the default 60Hz screen ( see below ).

Apart from this, the Galaxy Fold 2 is tipped to be start retail at a price point more affordable than the Galaxy Fold and is also said to come with a bigger internal display — a 7.59-inch screen with 2213×1689 resolution and 120Hz refresh rate.

The faster refresh rate makes scrolling, navigation and some games run extremely smooth, but it can also drink up battery life at a faster rate.

Samsung currently doesn’t offer 120Hz at full resolution on its Galaxy S20 phones, and the Fold 2 will have a way higher resolution ( 2213 x 1689 according to leaks ).

#G    #core    #Qualcomm    #Snapdragon    #come

Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset and an octa – core ( 2.96GHz, single – core, 2.42GHz tri – core, 1.8GHz quad – core, Kryo 485 ) processor.

Both the 4 G and 5 G versions of the phone will use either the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 or the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 + depending on the production speed of the supply chain.

According to our own sources, the Galaxy Fold 2 will come in 2 different models : a 4 G and 5 G version.

It suggests that the successor to the Galaxy Fold will be powered by Qualcomm’s newly announced flagship processor Snapdragon 865, which also means that the Galaxy Fold 2 will come with 5 G support.

#stylus    #Note    #phone    #s    #Pen

There’s also a rumor that this new device will have an S Pen, not unlike that of the Samsung Galaxy Note series.

One chunky leak let us know, like the claims above, that the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 could come with an S Pen stylus like the Galaxy Note phones, so you can annotate, sketch, doodle and take notes.

The S Pen would make the Fold much more like a tablet and multitasking tool, and help distinguish Samsung’s foldable phone from the rest.

Another patent meanwhile talks about a folding phone that works with a stylus, which could bring a future Fold closer to Samsung’s Galaxy Note range.

So far, only Samsung’s successful Galaxy Note series is equipped with a stylus that can be stowed away in the case of the device.

#glass    #UTG    #layer

According to previous reports, the upcoming foldable from Samsung will be using UTG ( Ultra Thing Glass ) protection for its folding screen.

Our sources have also told us that Samsung will be using UTG, also known as Ultra Thin Glass, on the Galaxy Fold 2.

More so, a protective layer above the screen that looked like a screen protector would break the Fold when you peeled it off.

But with enough structural support and a flexible glass screen ( ultrathin glass, or UTG ) — which was first used with the Z Flip — the rumors of a Fold 2 with a stylus are possible.

The report suggests that the current transparent plastic polyimide ( PI ) protective layer will be replaced by a layer of scratch – resistant ultra – thin glass ( UTG ), which considerably elevates the phone into an even more premium market.

#smartphone    #Razr    #phone    #use

The Galaxy Fold, the new Moto Razr, and that terrible FlexPai phone all have one thing in common : plastic screens.

Smartphone sales, generally, plunged 38 percent in February making its more aggressive approach to its mid – range A series smartphones more vital than ever.

Such a move would mean you need to use the phone in its open position and could potentially improve battery life from the original model.

Keeping this in mind, Samsung’s next handset is expected to be smaller and feature a clamshell design that’s similar to the Moto Razr 2019.

I was forced to make decisions about which screen is better suited for the task at hand, instead of simply opening the phone and using it.

#cent    #states    #Minister    #rating    #Prime

Barring these two states, the Prime Minister is going strong all over the country, the chart showing him above 50 per cent in every single state.

In Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, the two states which have suffered the most due to the migrant crisis, the Prime Minister has an approval rating of 64.06 per cent and 67.01 per cent respectively.

PM Modi has the highest satisfaction rating of 92.73 in Chhattisgarh whereas the states chief minister Bhupesh Baghel, a popular leader, has a rating 81.06.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, who has been in power for over seven months, enjoys a satisfaction rating of 76.52, which is higher than the 71.48-per cent of the Prime Minister.

Even in Punjab and Rajasthan, both Congress – ruled states, Modis popularity stands at 68.84 per cent and 68.43 per cent, respectively.

Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 Specifications Part 3

#report    #August    #Note    #launch

With this in mind, if the next Galaxy Note ( possibly called the Samsung Galaxy Note 11 or Galaxy Note 20 ) does launch in August / September, the Fold 2 likely won’t be far behind.

As per the report, the Galaxy Fold 2 may be unveiled in the third quarter of this year and maybe launched alongside the Galaxy Note 20 in August.

The Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 should arrive in the third quarter of 2020, possible alongside the Galaxy Note 20, which will likely launch in August.

A report out of Korea indicates the Galaxy Fold 2 is entering mass production, putting it on track for an August launch.

And Korea’s Hankook Ilbo just reported that the Galaxy Fold 2 is ready to enter mass production, which fits in with an August launch date.

#camera    #punch    #hole    #O

The report states that the device will have an Infinity – O panel with a punch hole for the selfie camera.

Some rumors claim that Samsung will be bringing its Infinity – O punch – hole selfie camera design to this phone too, after using it on the Galaxy Note 10, Galaxy S20 and Z Flip.

Some rumors assert that Samsung will soon be bringing its ownInfinity – O punch – hole selfie camera layout to this phone also, after using it on the Galaxy Notice 10, Galaxy S20, and Z Fold.

According to my own sources, there will be a Galaxy Z Flip – like hole – punch cutout in the top right corner.

Samsung’s new Galaxy S20 Ultra smartphone will be using the same 108-megapixel camera, something that will have 100x ‘Space Zoom’ support.

#smartphone    #phone

Samsung is the only company to have launched multiple foldable phones — Samsung Galaxy Fold and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip ( Review ) — in the recent past.

After launching two foldable smartphones in the market — Samsung Galaxy Fold and Galaxy Z Flip, the South Korean giant Samsung is now working on the successor of its Galaxy Fold device, which will reportedly be named Galaxy Fold 2.

Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 is expected to be the true successor of this Samsung Galaxy Fold, Although it remains one of the most mobiles of Samsung to date the Fold was released annually to mixed reviews.

It would potentially help you understand how Escobar Fold 2 stands against Samsung Galaxy Fold and which one should you buy.

#launched

To clear out Galaxy Fold 1 inventory before the Galaxy Fold 2 is launched, Samsung will announce the Galaxy Fold Special Edition in July at a price around $ 1099.

Considering the first Galaxy Fold started at $ 1,980, we’re expecting the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 to go for a similar premium.

When the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 finally launches, it is expected to carry around a price tag of USD 1,800 ( around PHP 90,800 ).

Samsung may offer multiple Galaxy Fold models this year, and one rumor is that a Galaxy Fold e is in the pipeline with a price of $ 1,100.

Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip launched at a much lower price than the Fold at $ 1,380, but it’s a smaller device with a different feature set.

#GB    #Snapdragon    #storage    #core    #chip

It could come powered by the Snapdragon 865 or the unannounced Snapdragon 865 + SoC and 256/512 GB internal storage support. The SAMSUNG Galaxy Fold 2 comes with a 7.59-in display, Coupled with a Snapdragon 865 Chip, 12 GB of RAM, 512 GB of storage, and 4,500 mAh Battery.

The phone is powered by Octa core ( 2.84 GHz, Single core, Kryo 585 + 2.42 GHz, Tri core, Kryo 585 + 1.8 GHz, Quad core, Kryo 585 ) processor.

The Galaxy Fold utilized a Snapdragon 855 system – on – chip, and as you would expect, the Galaxy Twist two will use the latest chip in precisely the same show, the Snapdragon 865.

The Galaxy Fold has a screen resolution of 840 x 1960 ( 4.6-inches ) or 1536×2152 ( 7.3-inches ), a 7 nm chipset, 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of UFS 3.0 storage.

#rumored    #leaked    #comes

A Galaxy Fold 2 concept video takes recent leaks about Samsung’s upcoming foldable to show us what the rumored phone might look like.

The duality of these rumors can be explained with another recent rumor that suggests Samsung is also planning to release a Galaxy Fold Lite, a specced down version of the Galaxy Fold 2.

A hint that Samsung is planning to make the Fold 2 a more popular and accessible device comes from the leak regarding the color options that will supposedly be available.

Today we’re taking a peek at a set of renders made of the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 based on rumored specs and features.

These images are not officially made by Samsung, but instead represent all that’s been leaked, tipped, and rumored by insider sources thus far.

#camera    #sensor    #detector

This means the Fold 2 should have a 12MP main sensor, 64MP secondary / telephoto sensor, and 12MP ultra – wide sensor along with a TOF sensor.

The first Fold was no slouch in regards to camera hardware because it had six complete camera detectors around the body.

A 12MP wide – angle detector, a 16MP ultra – wide sensor plus a 12MP megapixel detector on the rear, a 10MP camera onto front along with a 10MP primary and 8MP thickness sensor duo on the interior.

Just look at the quad – camera array using its 108MP main sensor and 10x optical zoom sensor of the Galaxy S20 Ultra.

The Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 is also pegged to arrive with a 120Hz display, plus a quadruple – camera setup that could consist of primary, ultrawide, telephoto, and Time – of – Flight sensors.

#Young    #Ross    #tweets    #founder    #Chain

That’s according to Display Supply Chain Consultant founder Ross Young who tweeted that the new front display will be 6.23 inches with a 2267 x 819 resolution.

That is based on Screen Supply Chain Advisor founder Ross Young who tweeted that the front screen is going to be 6.23 inches using a 2267 x 819 resolution.

As of 20 April, Ross Young – founder and CEO of an organisation called Display Supply Chain Consultants ( or DSCC ) – started tweeting about expected Galaxy Fold 2 specifications, including the phone’s display and camera setups.

As demonstrated by a succession of tweets from Ross Young about Galaxy Fold 2 specs, there’ll be a cost cut for your cushion.

According to a series of tweets about Galaxy Fold 2 specs from Ross Young, there will be a slight price cut for the new foldable.

#time    #prove    #build    #quality    #money

It will still be a very costly phone, but this time Samsung can prove it is well worth the money using new characteristics and build quality.

It’ll still likely be a very expensive phone, but hopefully this time Samsung can prove it’s worth the money with new features and a better build quality.

It will still probably be a phone that is very expensive, but hopefully this time Samsung can prove it’s worth the money with brand new features and a much better build quality.

#foldable    #panel

In this machine we see a full – screen display up front and a full – screen display inside – far more coverage than the first generation device.

As for the front screen you’ll use when the Galaxy Twist 2 is consumed, it’s going to be larger than the 4.6-inch display on the first foldable.

As for the front display that you’ll use when the Galaxy Fold 2 is folded up, it’s going to be larger than the 4.6-inch screen on the original foldable.

In terms of the front screen you’ll use when the Galaxy Fold 2 is piled up, it is likely to be bigger than the 4.6-inch display on the first foldable.

The Galaxy Fold 2 will most likely follow the layout of its direct predecessor, with a smaller external display and a vertical hinge that opens to reveal a larger internal screen.

#inches    #corner    #measure    #ETNews

ETNews also informs that the folding screen now measures around 8 inches ( previous rumors were claiming 7.7 inches versus 7.3 inch on the original ).

Rumours indicate that cover screen will quantify 6.23 inches from corner to corner; the one from the first Fold spanned only 4.6 inches.

Rumors suggest that cover display will measure 6.23 inches from corner to corner; the one in the original Fold spanned just 4.6 inches.

ETNews backed up that claim, reporting the Galaxy Fold 2’s screen will measure 8 inches round, compared with the 7.3-inch span of their first version.

ETNews backed up that claim, reporting the Galaxy Twist 2’s screen will measure 8 inches round when compared with the 7.3-inch length of their very first version.

#refresh    #going    #AMOLED

The 7.3-inch Infinity Flex Dynamic AMOLED display has a resolution of 2152 x 1536 pixels, while the smaller Super AMOLED 4.6-inch display has a resolution of 1680 x 720 pixels.

That video shows off a phone with a 1440p AMOLED display and 120Hz refresh rate; there’s also a built – in S Pen.

The Galaxy Fold 2 seems like it is going to embrace one of the characteristics of this Galaxy S20 lineup and feature an inside display using a refresh speed that is 120Hz.

This video shows off a phone with refresh rate and a 1440p AMOLED screen; there’s also a built – in S Pen.

Better still, the Galaxy Twist 2 seems like it is going to adopt one of the best characteristics of the Galaxy S20 lineup and feature an interior display with a refresh rate that is 120Hz.

#V    #dirt    #notch

The company is expected to include an Infinity V display with a triangular notch instead of the boxed – in tiny display of the Samsung Galaxy Fold.

The front display will be an Infinity V – Display , says Max Weinbach, which is the official name Samsung gives to its water – drop notch designs.

Infinity V means there will be a teardrop notch of some sort, housing one of the numerous Galaxy Fold 2 cameras.

Featuring an Infinity Flex display, the Samsung Galaxy Fold goes from a 4.6-inch display for phone mode and folds out to reveal a separate 7.3-inch display on the inside.

The main display on the Galaxy Fold features a top protective layer, which is part of the display structure designed to protect the screen from unintended scratches.

#apps    #bits    #position    #tap

With the Galaxy Fold in its open position, you can have two apps on the screen or one giant app, but you probably had little reason to drag your finger across the center of the display.

Double tap to light it up, swipe left for music controls and right for notification icons, which you can tap and see a little bit with scrolling text.

It’s a clever use of space helping you reach the bits you have to tap ( with the exception of the notification bar ), which is useful for a screen as long as the Galaxy Z Flip ‘s.

The Galaxy Z Flip can’t be used in full from its closed position; you can see the time and some small bits of information like notifications only.

#Note    #S    #Pen    #taking    #makes

Adding an S – Pen using the 2 makes a great deal of sense, taking into consideration its display’s magnitude makes it perfect for drawing or note – taking.

Adding an S – Pen using the 2 makes a lot of sense taking into consideration the size of its screen makes it perfect for note – taking or drawing.

We even offer Note 10 Plus 5 G skins as well as Note 9 skins for the more budget – conscious among you, plus countless older Notes.

The rumors point out that the S Pen on the fold won’t be exactly the same as that on the Note series but slightly modified. 23

However, styluses continue to be popular with tablet users, and it would make great sense to let it operate with an S – Pen since the Galaxy Fold’s screen approaches the size of a tablet.

A Galaxy Fold 2 concept video from YouTube’s Concept Creator channel shows off the kind of foldable we ‘d like to see from Samsung.

A Galaxy Twist two notion video from the Concept Creator station of YouTube shows off the type of foldable we ‘d love to view from Samsung.

Concept creator Ben Geskin took to Twitter with renders of what he believes this device will look like based off of DSCC’s information.

This Galaxy Fold concept video shows off a 6.23-inch front display, S Pen and camera placement similar to that of the Galaxy S20 Plus.

Providing a visual aid to these numbers, concept designer Ben Geskin has shared an image showing us what that the updated Fold could look like.

#charging    #mAh    #Twist    #battery

The Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 may pack a 4500 mAh battery with 25W superfast charging support as well as wireless and reverse wireless charging support.

After having a 4,380 mAh battery to the very first Fold, we expect that Samsung finds space to squeeze into a bit more capability on the Twist 2.

Our source claimed Samsung was aiming for a battery between 4,500 mAh and 5,000 mAh in capacity, and since then, they have likely decided on a capacity for product.

The Galaxy Fold billed at a 15W. However, Twist 2 should take advantage of Samsung’s brand new 45W and 25W charging protocols.

After using a 4,380 mAh battery to the very first Fold, we expect that Samsung finds room to squeeze into a little more capacity on the Fold 2.

#book    #memory

The outlet says the Galaxy Fold 2 will be offered with 256 GB of memory, and at a lower price point than the original Fold. 3

The Galaxy Fold 2 would keep the original book – fold design, but hopefully would also have some major upgrades over the original phone.

The Galaxy Fold started at 512 GB of memory, which likely contributed to its extravagant price, and reducing that in half probably wouldn’t be a huge deal for many buyers, if the price goes down as well.

DSCC’s Ross Young more recently chimed in to make mention of a ‘Lite’ version of the existing Galaxy Fold that will reuse parts from the original Galaxy Fold but arrive ahead of the Fold 2, toting a smaller external display and a significantly lower price tag.

#lens    #aperture    #FOV    #MP    #angle

The second lens is an 8-megapixel depth – sensing lens with an aperture of f/1.9, and a wide – angle FOV of 85-degrees.

The rear camera consists of a 12 MP ( wide ) + 12 MP ( telephoto ) + 16 MP ( ultrawide ) lenses sensor.

The first is a 16-megapixel ultra – wide – angle lens with an aperture of f/2.2 and an FOV of 123-degrees.

It’s a 10-megapixel selfie lens with an aperture of f/2.2, and a field – of – view ( FOV ) of 80-degrees.

Next comes a 12-megapixel wide – angle lens with Super Speed Dual Pixel autofocus, optical image stabilization ( OIS ), a variable aperture of f/1.5 and f/2.2, and an FOV of 77 degrees.

#Glass    #Z    #Flip    #UTG    #Ultra

The device was initially said to carry the Ultra – Thin Glass, or UTG, included on the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip.

As per the insiders behind the source, Samsung may not be using its UTG ( ultra – thin glass ) material for the display of the Fold 2, alongside the Galaxy Z Flip.

It’s unclear if the phone will feature the same Ultra Thin Glass layer that made the Galaxy Z Flip feel like a more polished design.

According to previous reports, the upcoming foldable from Samsung will be using UTG ( Ultra Thing Glass ) protection for its folding screen.

Our sources have also told us that Samsung will be using UTG, also known as Ultra Thin Glass, on the Galaxy Fold 2.

#device    #referring    #Champ    #name

We are thus not sure if Project Champ is a different code – name for the Galaxy Fold 2 or if it’s an entirely different device.

Rumoured to be code named as Champ, the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 is said to come with a larger display of 7.7-inches.

The device in question is thought to be the much talked and rumored Galaxy Fold 2, which is the successor to the original Galaxy Fold launched last year.

At the moment, we are going to assume these two devices are the same models but are referred to by two different codenames.

If these details we’re hearing are anything to go by, then the Galaxy Fold may be the most interesting device this year, too.

#colors    #silver    #Green    #Astro    #Blue

The Samsung Galaxy Fold comes in four colors : Cosmos Black, Space Silver, Martian Green, or Astro Blue, and you can choose a different color for the phone’s spine.

They claimed that the Galaxy Fold 2 will be available in 2 of the original Galaxy Fold colors : Martian Green and Astro Blue.

Additionally, Samsung wants to release the new Fold in Martian Green and Astro Blue colors, but this could vary from region to region.

Recently, it was reported that the phone will come in two color options — Martian Green and Astro Blue and added that the availability of the color variant will be dependent on the region.

It is going to have a selection of stainless steel and variant, either glass and aluminum variant or substances, and be completed off in blue, silver, gold, black or pink.

#phone    #UTG    #crease    #mean

Since the phone has a horizontal crease across the middle of the phone, you’ll come into contact with it all the time.

The title is misleading, since the UTG substance is a glass core coated in plastic, but it should mean it somewhat harder than the screen of the Galaxy Fold.

You can see the crease in light reflections on the screen, but is generally invisible when viewing bright content and videos.

The title is a little misleading since the UTG substance is a glass center coated in vinyl, but it should mean it is still somewhat more complicated than the Galaxy Fold’s screen.

But the problem with the Galaxy Z Flip is that you will be constantly touching that crease along the center of the phone.

#cost    #ranging    #month

Examples ( amounts approximate ) : $ 1099.99 sales price with $ 0 down is $ 36.67 per month; with $ 330 down ( 30 % ) is $ 25.67 per month; or with $ 600 down is $ 16.67 per month for 30 months.

Young estimates the price will be between $ 1,780 and $ 1,980, with $ 1,880 to $ 1,895 likely being the price Samsung settles on.

Currently a percentage of the device cost ranging from 15 % to 80 % or a flat dollar amount that ranges from $ 200 to $ 1,400 ( subject to change and could be higher ).

Mr. Young estimates a price drop of $ 100 to $ 200 so this could end up being the price of the 256 GB variant.

Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 Review Part 4

#Note    #August    #July

With this in mind, if the next Galaxy Note ( possibly called the Samsung Galaxy Note 11 or Galaxy Note 20 ) does launch in August / September, the Fold 2 likely won’t be far behind.

The Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 should arrive in the third quarter of 2020, possible alongside the Galaxy Note 20, which will likely launch in August.

The company is expected to launch the Galaxy Note 20 this year, so it is possible that the Galaxy Note 20 and the Galaxy Fold 2 will be sharing the same event.

With Samsung’s Note announcement traditionally taking place in August, SamMobile speculates that the company could use it as a venue for a return to the Fold.

Now, according to Max Weinbach, from XDA Developers, we may see this device launch around July, but we will have to wait and see how the COVID-19 pandemic influences this possible launch date.

#reviewers    #reported    #days

A small number of reviewers reported that the screen had broken after just two days of use, a troubling sign for a device that’s slated to launch in a matter of days.

Samsung was forced into a do – over after version No. 1 of the Fold never launched as planned in April when some early reviewers reported broken screens and other damage issues.

Despite one report of a failed review unit, Robb Report had no problem with the new and improved Galaxy Fold in the three days we played around with the phone.

It was supposed to launch in the summer, but was delayed after reviewers started reporting issues, namely the screens getting particles or dust stuck underneath and resulting in the displays breaking.

#year    #products    #report

Samsung is forecasted to ship 2.5 to 3 million foldables this year, compared to 500,000 units last year as per analysts.

According to the recent report from South Korea, the tech giant has now begun the mass production of Galaxy Fold 2 with an expected launch in August.

Now, in Samsung’s own words, The Company will continue to offer differentiated products in the premium segment with the launch of new foldable and Note models.

As originally reported by ZDNet, during the call Samsung stated, We are preparing both new foldable and Galaxy Note models, to be released in the second half of the year, and we will showcase more competitive products ( translated from Korean ).

There is of course the question of when, but a report from Korean publication Hankook Ilbo, they claim that the Galaxy Fold 2 will be launching in August later this year.

#stylus    #s    #Pen    #Note

Given its large display, the fact that the Galaxy Fold does not come with or support Samsung’s S Pen stylus feels like a missed opportunity.

This main display could be 7.7 inches or 8 inches in size compared to the original Fold’s 7.3-inch internal screen, depending on which reports you believe, and it could come with support for Samsung’s S Pen stylus, according to The Elec.

#price    #cost    #storage    #GB

This is because Samsung will be giving the phone a base option of 256 GB of storage instead of 512 GB, which could lower the price by about $ 100.

Samsung’s successor to its ill – fated Galaxy Fold could be available with less storage at a cheaper price, according to a new report from SamMobile.

It’s still likely to cost more than, say, the Samsung Galaxy S11, but being a second – generation product it’s possible that Samsung will be able to push the price down below its current level.

Samsung is offering a one – time PS99/$119 display repair service, but after that you’re looking at a hefty cost in the region of PS400.

#company    #years

Samsung, the world’s leading display manufacturer, invested six years and $ 130 million to birth its ultimate creation : the flexible OLED display.

Samsung has been flaunting its flexible display technology for years, but the company finally showcased the culmination of those efforts with the Galaxy Fold, its $ 1,980 foldable smartphone that goes on sale April 26.

At the end of 2018, Samsung said the foldable display technology it spent so much time and money to develop was stolen by a supplier and sold to two Chinese companies for $ 14 million.

Samsung has been publicly demoing foldable OLED displays since 2008  -a time when Huawei’s smartphone business was still in diapers, by the way — and for Samsung’s market lead to come down to two months shows just how badly things have gone for the company.

#successor    #Z    #Flip

The Galaxy Fold and Galaxy Z Flip were announced alongside more typical — and still premium — devices, the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S20, respectively.

It’s widely expected that the next phone will be called the Galaxy Fold 2, the successor device to the original Galaxy Fold.

While early Galaxy Fold 2 leaks all turned out to be of the Galaxy Z Flip, a number of newer leaks have also now emerged.

They claimed that the Galaxy Fold 2 will be available in 2 of the original Galaxy Fold colors : Martian Green and Astro Blue.

The device in question is thought to be the much talked and rumored Galaxy Fold 2, which is the successor to the original Galaxy Fold launched last year.

#apps    #email

Because the Galaxy Fold is designed to be opened and closed — as its name implies — many apps translate seamlessly between phone and tablet mode.

The Galaxy Fold runs on a 7-nanometer 64-bit octacore processor and has 12 GB of RAM, ensuring that it’s plenty powerful enough to run multiple apps at a time.

Samsung has long offered the ability to run two apps at once in split – screen mode on certain Galaxy phones, so it makes sense to see an evolution of this feature on an even bigger device like the Fold.

The 7.3-inch tablet screen is capable of running three apps at a time, a capability that’s not entirely new for the company.

As too are Android 10’s gestures : swipe up from the bottom for recently used apps, or across the bottom to switch the last used apps.

#charging    #wireless    #PowerShare    #earbuds

The Galaxy Z Flip has relatively slow 15W charging, taking close to two hours for a full charge, but has wireless charging and wireless powersharing to wirelessly charge something else from the phone’s back, such as a set of earbuds or a smartwatch.

In a different leak we heard that the Galaxy Fold 2 will have 15W charging, but it’ll also support wireless charging and the top – end reverse wireless charging, which lets you turn the device into its own wireless charging pad.

You can also expect Samsung to stick with reverse wireless charging, which Samsung calls PowerShare, and fast charging to align with the Galaxy S20 phones — likely at a rate of 25 watts.

I was able to take advantage of the Samsung Wireless PowerShare feature that let me charge up the Galaxy Bud earbuds that come in the box by placing them on the back of the Fold.

#issues    #device    #delay

Screens that fold in half finally arrived last year with the Galaxy Fold, which was originally plagued by durability issues causing a delay and a reworking of the device.

Buyers will have to simply trust Samsung’s word that the device will withstand 200,000 folds and unfolds even despite the issues that have emerged so far.

I ‘ve been using the Galaxy Fold for four days, and have not encountered any screen issues or other malfunctions with the device.

With so many problems present in the initial shipment of Galaxy Folds, Samsung doesn’t seem like it spent enough time to properly test the device.

In its closed position, the Fold feels solid and substantial, and while you don’t get the same level of confidence when you open it up, Samsung insists it has fixed the earlier issues that led to the delayed launch.

#cover    #opens

The Galaxy Fold technically has two displays : A small 4.6-inch display on the front, and a wide 7.3-inch display when you open it up.

Namely, it will automatically transfer what is opened and running on the cover screen to the inner screen when you switch.

The Fold features a 4.6-inch cover display on the front, which unfolds like a book to reveal a larger, tablet – sized 7.3-inch screen.

While Bloomberg’s initial report said its display could fold outwards, later leaks have referenced a front cover display with a V – shaped notch, which suggests that, like the original Fold, its main display could fold inward and be inaccessible while the device is closed.

The screen has T – shaped caps at the sides of the fold that help stop dirt getting in behind the display.

#price

The outlet says the Galaxy Fold 2 will be offered with 256 GB of memory, and at a lower price point than the original Fold.

Also, the price of Galaxy Fold 2 is expected to be around $ 100 less than its predecessor in the US.

It ‘d be surprising to see a more advanced Galaxy Fold 2 come in at much less than the original Galaxy Fold’s $ 1,980 asking price, though with a global recession in the offing, all things are possible.

DSCC’s Ross Young more recently chimed in to make mention of a ‘Lite’ version of the existing Galaxy Fold that will reuse parts from the original Galaxy Fold but arrive ahead of the Fold 2, toting a smaller external display and a significantly lower price tag.

#camera    #selfie    #lens    #sensor

This means the Fold 2 should have a 12MP main sensor, 64MP secondary / telephoto sensor, and 12MP ultra – wide sensor along with a TOF sensor.

The back is outfitted with a 16-megapixel ultra – wide camera, a 12-megapixel wide – angle and telephoto cameras, the front has a 10-megapixel selfie camera, while unfolded there is another 10-megapixel selfie camera and an 8-megapixel RGB depth camera.

The rear of the Galaxy Fold has a 16-megapixel ultra – wide lens, a 12-megapixel wide – angle lens and a 12-megapixel telephoto.

We can see the device with a punch – hole display on the inside for the selfie camera, and an external screen with a notch that will house another selfie camera.

#glass    #UTG    #plastic    #Z    #Flip

The device was initially said to carry the Ultra – Thin Glass, or UTG, included on the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip.

But with enough structural support and a flexible glass screen ( ultrathin glass, or UTG ) — which was first used with the Z Flip — the rumors of a Fold 2 with a stylus are possible.

The most notable shift there is perhaps the move to ultra – thin glass ( UTG ), and away from the plastic used in the first Fold.

The Z Flip, released earlier this year, attempted to remedy the situation with an ultra – thin glass display layer, but real – world tests found that it still scratched very easily.

According to previous reports, the upcoming foldable from Samsung will be using UTG ( Ultra Thing Glass ) protection for its folding screen.

#pocket    #benefit    #fit

You’ll be able to fit it in most pockets, including the often useless – for – phones tiny pockets women are burdened with.

A big phone that folds into a compact square is surprisingly pleasing to use, much easier to pocket and has the side benefit of adding a bit of distance between you and your phone.

Samsung’s Galaxy Fold proves that foldable phones are more than just a gimmick; it offers a large, beautiful screen that fits in your pocket with battery life that lasts for days.

Of course, the Galaxy Fold’s main attraction is its giant, foldable screen, which is almost the size of an iPad mini but can also fit in your pocket.

I considered it a plus that, a moment earlier, the folded Fold was stashed in my jacket pocket like any other smartphone, hard to do even with an iPad mini.

#resolution    #watching

Even in an age in which relatively ginormous smartphone screens are common, I appreciated the extra real estate of the unfurled AMOLED display, especially as I browsed and watched video while commuting.

That super – sized, 7.3-inch display has a resolution of 2,152 x 1,536 with an aspect ratio of 4:2:3, making the Fold quite possibly the best smartphone I ‘ve ever used for entertainment on – the – go.

It’s almost as big as the iPad mini’s 7.9-inch display and both larger and sharper than the Nintendo Switch’s 6.2-inch screen, so it feels like the perfect device for gaming, reading, and watching video.

In a side – by – side comparison, the Galaxy Fold’s screen looked even crisper and more detailed than the newest iPad mini, which has a 2,048 x 1,536 resolution.

#makers    #sky    #future    #durable

Foldable phones might be the future, but it’ll be a while longer until smartphone makers can deliver durable and affordable foldable handsets.

The sky – high price, durability issues, nascent form factor, and new screen technology should rule the phone out for just about everyone.

It’s enough to prove that foldable phones are much more than just a gimmick, but there are some clear growing pains that Samsung and likely other foldable phone makers will need to work out before this becomes the new norm.

Let’s put aside the sky – high price — which will, of course, come down over time — and the durability issues — which will hopefully be fixed in the future with the wild concept of flexible glass that Corning is hard at work on.

#G    #code    #rumor

According to our own sources, the Galaxy Fold 2 will come in 2 different models : a 4 G and 5 G version.

Prolific mobile leaker Max Weinbach, who also writes for XDA Developers, tweeted a rumor that Samsung could be making a Galaxy Fold E or Galaxy Fold Lite in addition to the more premium Galaxy Fold 2.

It’s possible the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 will come in both 4 G and 5 G versions, according to leaked code – names for the handset, but it remains to be seen if each is just region – exclusive like for the original Galaxy Fold.

If rumor prevails, the Galaxy Fold 2 could top the Fold’s 4,380-mAh battery with a 4,500- or 5,000-mAh battery, according to a source cited by XDA Developers.

#battery    #life    #day    #deliver

The Fold’s 4,380mAh battery ( or 4,235mAh in the 5 G version ) is fairly large by smartphone standards, but this isn’t a standard smartphone, and while battery life is very solid, there’s always room for improvement.

The Galaxy Fold may have a larger display than any other smartphone, but it also has impressive battery life to back it up.

That’s certainly more battery life than I typically get from most of the smartphones I review, which can usually get me through about a day and a half depending on how I ‘m using them.

Battery life is a sticking point for any phone, but on a foldable device like the original Galaxy Fold, with power – thirsty screens and a promise to be the everything – device in your life, it has to deliver.

#crease    #feels    #today

The crease is one of the compromises of having a massive screen that rivals the very biggest smartphones available today, but that folds down into a small, pocketable package.

Screen malfunctions aside, the crease is still very noticeable and there are some aspects of its design that require you to trade – off some convenience for that extra screen real estate.

It looks and feels just like one of Samsung’s regular super – sized smartphones, which is a very good thing, apart from one caveat : there’s a crease in the middle.

Its elongated shape feels similar to that of a landline phone, making it feel natural to hold up to the ear.

The Fold, when closed, is also surprisingly comfortable to use for making phone calls since its not as wide as most of today’s smartphones.

#Escobar    #explains    #Brownlee    #tech

Well – known tech reviewer Marques Brownlee ( MKBHD ) explains exactly what’s going on in a new video, proving the Escobar Fold 2 is actually a Galaxy Fold covered with a gold sticker.

The YouTuber explains in great detail his experience with the Escobar firm, revealing that he bought both Escobar phones out of curiosity.

Instead, Brownlee explains why it’s all probably a huge scam and why you should steer clear of any Escobar – branded devices.

Escobar Fold phones are supposed to be affordable, high – end foldable handsets, made by a company managed by the infamous Escobar family.

We ‘ve shown you two Escobar foldable phones so far, including the Escobar Fold 1 and Fold 2, and we advised against buying any of them, no matter how great those offers sounded like.

#rate    #refresh    #default    #scrolling

The larger screen is said to follow the Galaxy S20 with a 120Hz screen refresh rate, while the smaller screen will top out at the default 60Hz screen ( see below ).

The faster refresh rate makes scrolling, navigation and some games run extremely smooth, but it can also drink up battery life at a faster rate

The Fold’s display also suffers from an uneven refresh rate in our tests, meaning for example that if you scroll through a text – heavy webpage, the words will shift unevenly across the screen.

The source of this leak also revealed lots of other screen details, saying that the main display will be a 7.59-inch 2213 x 1689 one with a 120Hz refresh rate.

#hinge    #dust    #protector    #caps

Several review units experienced immediate screen failure, some because debris got under the screen through its hinges and others because a protective layer, which many assumed to be nothing more than a screen protector, was removed.

More so, a protective layer above the screen that looked like a screen protector would break the Fold when you peeled it off.

The numerous warnings you’re greeted with when you open up the packaging underline this : users are warned to keep it clear of dust and water, not to add a screen protector and to avoid pressing too hard on the screen.

Hidden in the hinge is a set of nylon fibres that help stop dust getting into the back of the device.
